We have a winner!

As some of you may remember, back in April we had a contest “Calling all Artists” to submit their art to be displayed on our rain barrel. It was a difficult choice, but we finally agreed on a vibrant, whimsical submission by Lisa O’Neil titled “Plant yourself where you will bloom”. Lisa transformed our plain rain barrel into a work of art.

Our newly decorated rain barrel proudly sits outside the Environmental Education Center collecting rain water that will be used to water our native wildlife garden, provide fresh water for our bird bath, and educate our visitors on the benefits of rain water harvesting.

Fine artist, Lisa O'Neil was born in Mahopac, New York and currently lives in Saint Augustine, Florida. She received a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from SUNY Plattsburgh and her post-graduate classical atelier training at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. She is an award winning fine artist whose drawings and paintings have been in juried art shows in the U.S. and Italy.
